Come train with us!
The Hamilton Club currently trains at the Beerescourt Indoor Bowls Hall, Beerescourt Park in Maeroa Road, Hamilton. We are part of the Midlands region which includes Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Gisborne clubs.
All ages train together and beginners are welcome to attend a few sessions to see if Taekwon-do is a good fit for them. We do have a separate kids class for those aged 5-8 which is on Sunday only.
A typical training night includes stretching and warm-up, pattern work, pad work, self-defence, sparring and can include board breaking.
The Hamilton club trains in an open and collaborative atmosphere that encourages students to learn and give of their best.

The International Taekwon-Do Foundation of New Zealand (ITFNZ) is an Incorporated Society comprised of about 100 affiliated clubs throughout the country. ITFNZ is recognised by SPARC and is run by an elected Board of Director, assisted by a Management Committee of instructors elected to represent the six ITFNZ regions. ITFNZ holds regular gradings for both coloured and black belts, runs tournaments throughout the year, and offers camps and seminars for those who wish to participate.
International Taekwon-Do was first registered in New Zealand as an Incorporated Society in 1981 and is today recognised as a "National Sporting Organisation" by Sport New Zealand. Each and every year since then International Taekwon-Do has run regional and National Tournaments for its members, as well as hundreds of other events.
ITFNZ is affiliated to the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF).
ITF was founded on March 22, 1966 in Seoul (South) Korea, by General Choi Hong Hi, who developed Taekwon-Do, to promote the teaching of this martial art.
ITFNZ regularly sends teams to the ITF Junior and Senior world Championships, and we have produced several world champions and medalists. In 2011 New Zealand hosted the World champs in Wellington and improved the ranking to first, with many records set. The 2015 World Champs were in Jesolo Italy where NZ won 14 Golds, 8 Silver and 13 Bronze to win best overall country.
